Bore testing on a gearbox made of aluminum
Recognition of gated pores and cavities in a two-stage bore. This manual attempt serves to determine the feasibility of an automatic test. The two-stage bore with diameters 7.2 and 8.1 mm is to be tested by an adjustable rotary probe. Adjustments are made in the bore on the probe shaft. The set diameter is approximately 0.1 mm smaller than the respective bore diameter. The YT display on the M3 display shows a rotation of the probe and thereby enables the location of the defect to be precisely determined in relation to its circumference. The calibration was carried out using test piece TP?, bore side, aluminum, reference defect = 0.1 mm wide and 0.5 mm deep.
